KANO STATE PLEDGES TO PLANT 2 MILLION TREES TO COMBAT ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER

The Kano state Govt. recently revealed its plan to cultivate two million tree seedlings in various reserves, parks, public places, and other strategic venues across the state to help control flooding and enhance afforestation. Also, about 40 new drains are to be constructed in metropolis and major towns, while many dilapidated ones are said to be rehabilitated. Members from the communities involved as well as interested groups are encouraged to join hands with the Government in delivering the projects and other related aimed at cleaning their environment.
