DOLPHINS FOUND DEAD IN MAURITIUS COASTAL WATERS
Over 18 dolphins were found dead with many others in distress on the shores of Mauritius; weeks after an oil tanker ran aground its coast. While public autopsies are ordered to ascertain the cause of the death, there seem to be no link between the deaths and the oil spill incident ravaging the zone yet. 35 dolphins were found stranded in the coast in 2005. While the Mauritian government is demanding a compensation for the spill; the Japanese company whose ship caused the menace is investigating why its ship meant to be at least 10 miles away from shore went off course. According to a local newspaper, Le Mauricien, operations for purification of water in the lagoons is in progress and in top gear.
